Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Revo collects, why, and what we will never do with it. The short version: your designs stay in your tenant, and we do not train foundation models on them.
1. Overview
This policy describes how [Registered company name] ("Revo", "we") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our AI-assisted control panel design platform. It applies to the Revo web application, our marketing site, and any support channel we operate.
2. Who we are
[Registered company name], [Registered address], is the controller of the personal data described here. If your organization subscribes to Revo, that organization is the controller of the design content uploaded to its workspace, and we process it on their behalf. 3. Information we collect
We collect four broad categories, and no more than we need to run the service:
- Account information — name, work email, organization, role, and authentication identifiers from your SSO provider where used.
- Workspace content — the Bills of Materials, specification documents, layouts, schematics, and comments your team uploads or generates. This is your material; we hold it to provide the service.
- Usage telemetry — pages visited, features used, AI credit consumption, error traces, and performance timings. Used to keep the platform reliable and to bill metered usage accurately.
- Support and sales correspondence — what you send us when you contact us, book a demo, or file a support request.
4. How we use information
We use the above to:
- Operate the pipeline — resolve parts, generate placements and layouts, and produce wiring schematics.
- Authenticate users, enforce roles and permissions, and maintain tenant boundaries.
- Meter and bill AI credit usage, and enforce the per-workspace and per-member limits your admins set.
- Diagnose faults, investigate abuse, and improve reliability and performance.
- Respond to you, and — where you have not opted out — send product and release updates.
5. AI processing and model training
Revo sends parts of your workspace content to AI providers strictly to perform the task you asked for: resolving BOM lines, raising clarifying questions, proposing placements, and determining a netlist. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your BOMs, layouts, or schematics to train foundation models — ours or anyone else's. Wiring output is generated by fixed logic from a one-time AI netlist, so the schematic itself is never re-derived from a model at view time.
6. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR or comparable law applies, we rely on:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the service your organization has subscribed to.
- Legitimate interests — to secure the platform, prevent abuse, and improve the product, balanced against your rights.
- Consent — for optional marketing communications, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting, and lawful-request requirements.
7. Tenant isolation
Every customer organization runs in an isolated tenant with its own data boundary. Designs, AI results, and recognized-component libraries are never shared across tenants. A part your team resolves does not become visible to another customer.
9. International transfers
Where data moves outside its region of origin, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses, together with technical measures including encryption in transit and at rest. Customers with data residency requirements should raise them before onboarding so we can confirm what we can support.
10. Data retention
Workspace content is retained for as long as your organization keeps its account, and is deleted on request. Delete a design or a workspace through admin controls and it is purged from active systems, and from backups within contractually agreed windows. Telemetry and audit records are retained on a rolling basis for security and troubleshooting. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
11. Security
TLS 1.3 protects data in transit and AES-256 protects it at rest. Access to production systems is role-restricted and logged, approvals are recorded as immutable snapshots, and every AI run and user override is traceable in the audit log. Suspected vulnerabilities should go to security@revo.dev — please give us a reasonable window to remediate before disclosing publicly.
13. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy.
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your personal data, subject to obligations that require us to keep some records.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
- Port your data to another provider in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Complain to your local supervisory authority.
14. Exercising your rights
Write to privacy@revo.dev and we will respond within the period the applicable law requires. If your data sits inside a customer workspace, we may need to route your request through that organization, since they control it — we will tell you if that happens.
15. Children
Revo is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
16. Changes to this policy
We update this policy as the product and the law change. Material changes are announced in-app or by email to workspace administrators before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
